The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in collaboration with the South African Guild of Actors (SAGA) proudly presents the Nollywood/South Africa Actors Roundtable 2025 – a historic gathering of Africa’s top acting talent, producers, and industry changemakers, set to take place from July 9th to 13th, 2025, at Mercure Hotel Bedfordview, Johannesburg.
This summit aims to challenge the status quo and build a unified approach toward actor rights, fair pay, and royalty enforcement across African borders.
Objectives
1. To advocate and formulate continental frameworks for actor royalties, residuals, and intellectual property rights.
2. Promote collaboration and standardize best practices among actor unions across African nations.
3. Initiate meaningful engagement with governments and creative industry stakeholders toward legislation that protects and empowers actors continent-wide.4. Provide actors with actionable knowledge and tools for long-term career monetization and brand growth.

Dr. Emeka Rollas, Ejezie MON
President, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
A towering figure in Nollywood’s leadership and advocacy space, Dr. Emeka Rollas is a passionate campaigner for the welfare, dignity, and rights of Nigerian actors. Under his stewardship, the Actors Guild of Nigeria has taken bold steps toward institutional reforms, capacity building, and continental collaborations. A recipient of the national honour, Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), Dr. Rollas brings a wealth of experience, insight, and diplomacy to NSAR 2025 as a leading voice in the push for structured royalty and collective bargaining frameworks across Africa.
Mr. Jack Devnarain
National Chairman, South African Guild of Actors (SAGA). Jack Devnarain is a seasoned South African actor and the respected National Chairman of the South African Guild of Actors (SAGA). Known both for his acclaimed performances and for his unwavering commitment to policy and protection of actors’ rights, Jack has led some of South Africa’s most impactful campaigns for residuals and fair contract structures. At NSAR 2025, he brings decades of practical knowledge, legal insight, and regional advocacy experience to a continent-wide conversation on creative equity.
Dorothy Kingston
President, Malawian Film Association (FAMA). Dorathy Kingston is a trailblazer in Malawi’s film and media landscape and the current President of the Malawian Film Association. She is widely recognized for her cross-sector engagements that have elevated the profile of Malawian cinema across Africa. With a deep commitment to gender inclusion and regional collaboration, Dorathy is poised to spotlight the voices of underrepresented film markets and drive strategic connections between Southern and West African industries at NSAR 2025.
Juliet Ibrahim
Directors of PAN-African Actors Relations, Actors Guild of Nigeria. Juliet Ibrahim is a celebrated Ghanaian actress, producer, and author, currently serving as the Director of Pan-African Relations at the Actors Guild of Nigeria. With a vibrant career spanning multiple African countries and languages, Juliet is a strong advocate for unity in Africa’s entertainment ecosystem. Her appointment to this role underscores her commitment to cross-border collaboration, equitable remuneration, and the integration of African cinema into global creative economies.
Ugochi Treasure Okonkwo
Breakout Nigerian Talent. Uchechi Treasure Okonkwo represents the emerging wave of young African talent making bold strides in the film industry. As one of Nollywood’s brightest teenage actors, she brings a fresh perspective to conversations about the future of acting, intellectual property protection for minors, and the need for inclusive policies that nurture young creatives. At NSAR 2025, Treasure stands as a voice of hope, vision, and continuity.

Guiding the rhythm and tone of NSAR 2025 with an understanding of the continent’s entertainment evolution, these moderators bring charm, depth, and direction to every session. Their presence ensures conversations remain thought-provoking, inclusive, and action-driven.
Beverly Osu
Beverly Osu is a celebrated Nigerian actress, model, and TV personality known for her bold screen presence and advocacy for creative expression. With numerous film and television credits, she has become a voice for young African talents, blending charisma with industry insight. Beverly brings sharp communication skills and continental appeal to her role as NoSART 2025 Moderator.
Hungani Ndlovu
Hungani Ndlovu is an award-winning South African actor, dancer, and co-founder of the SANS Group, known for championing youth empowerment through the arts. Renowned for his work on-screen and in advocacy spaces, Hungani combines passion, intellect, and poise—making him a fitting moderator to guide transformative conversations at NoSART 2025.
