Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Public Affairs team of the United States Diplomatic Mission (Embassy of the United States of America) for hosting the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) to a closed door meeting on Wednesday 23 August 2023 at the US Embassy in Abuja, to discuss our upcoming AGN International Festival happening in Miami, Florida from November 16-18, 2023, as well as possible collaborations that will foster closer ties between the US and Nigeria in the culture & creative sector.
We had an enriching engagement and discussed possible areas for synergy, capacity building for the AGN members and cultural exchange programs. And we learned more about the incredible work they do to foster better people to people ties.
Our AGN delegation was led by the National President, Ejezie Emeka Rollas (MON), the National Director of Communication, Kate Henshaw, Senior Special Adviser for Military and Intergovernmental Activities, Steve Eboh and Director for Brand Communications & Relations, Alex Okoroji (also serving in double role) as Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the AGN International Festival.
The Public Affairs Counselor, Adnan Siddiqi and the wonderful team were magnanimous in expressing their support for our initiative and our vision to create better opportunities that will benefit actors, grow Nollywood as an industry, the stakeholders and allies. AGN looks forward to continue engaging and moving our relationship forward.
